Children do not play to learn, but learning can be a result of play
Drama and costumes
For three years Lisa Van, Mutter&Mus, has been dressing up course participants—young and old, teachers, journalists, and leaders—as kings, soldiers, pigs, and princesses. Time after time, the participants have gotten involved in the fairy tales, have laughed and sung, and some even cried a little, because they were allowed to play again.
Pedagogical tools
Lisa Van develops all the costumes used both for playing and as pedagogical tools, which let the imagination lose in both children and adults. The concept has been developed in close cooperation with kindergartens and the pedagogy education in Odense. The training course is combined with visits to St. Clemens Kindergarten, which has for many years worked with costumes in “fantasy travels.”
Costumes for HCA Festivals
The meeting between Lisa Van and the theater leader William Yip from Hong Kong has resulted in Lisa Van developing all the costumes for the HCA Festivals 2019.
