Rethink Education in the Post-Epidemic Era

China Denmark Education Forum is a new initiative, which debuts with its first activity - an online seminar on September 22 at. 8-11 (14-17 Beijing time) entitled "Rethink Education in the Post-Epidemic Era".

Six speakers from each country

COVID-19 has globally changed societies and ways of life. This is also true in the field of education, where virtual learning suddenly became a task for everyone. Six Chinese and six Danish educators give their views on what experiences have been gained, both in terms of form and content in Denmark and China, respectively. How do we ensure that young people are driven by the desire to learn throughout life, and how should education of the future develop?

Participants from Denmark:
Morten Albæk, Philosopher, Author and CEO at Voluntàs, Anya Eskildsen, CEO and President, Niels Brock Business College, Bertel Haarder, former Minister of Education, former Minister of Culture, Mogens Godballe, Principal of Nordfyns Folk High School, Lis Zacho, Teacher and MSc in Pedagogy and IT, Ane Qvortrup, Professor, SDU, University of Southern Denmark.

Inspiration and knowledge exchange

The purpose is to inspire and challenge the way we think education. Behind the seminar is the think tank China Education 30 Forum with Mr. Ma Guochuan in front and Learn for Life / Nordfyns Højskole. Mr. Ma was in Denmark in December 2018, where he participated in a course at Nordfyns Højskole. He is very enthusiastic about the Danish / Nordic model. He thinks that our approach to education is a good inspiration for the think tank working on reforming the education system in China and create children and young people who are creative, happy and have the desire to learn.
