If Hans Christian Andersen were alive today, what kind of fairy tales would he write?
Create your own fairy tale. Look around and find little things, boxes, pieces of wood, or plastic. At the REMIDA Center in Odense, the imagination and creativity of the course participants are challenged. Here are hundreds of props at their disposal. The leaders of the center, Karin Eskesen and Kåre Runge, facilitate and make space available for the participants to work with their own creativity and discover new ways of how they may strengthen the imagination of children and inspire their innovative development.
Listen and share
All the props at REMIDA Center Odense are surplus materials from various companies. The materials inspire by way of their shape, texture, color, and amount.
Karin offers lots of advice along the way, “Don’t disturb the child and don’t tell him or her what to do. Watch, be interested and ask what the child is making. Children love to tell about what they are making. Listen and take notes. Share with your colleagues, who all interpret differently.”
At REMIDA, the process and dialog take center stage.
